Iron Thunder Saloon & Grill

Iron Thunder Saloon & Grill is a motorcycle and motorsports-themed sports bar that has been open since 2003. The menu aims for restaurant-quality food in large portions, and the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, tossed in any of the house sauces, is the dish people ask about most. Cocktails and daily and monthly specials round out the offerings.

The Hickory location is one of four Iron Thunder restaurants, with others in Concord, Mooresville and Monroe. Takeout is available, a late night menu runs past dinner, and the event calendar lists what is happening at each location. The atmosphere is casual and loud, with a local crowd and a steady stream of visitors.
