About River City Crabs & Seafood

The story

River City Crabs & Seafood steams blue crabs to order and prepares seafood dishes for take-home meals, including crab cakes, crab soup, oysters, clams, lobster and shrimp. Homemade soups, salads, side dishes and appetizers round out the menu, and everything is made by in-house chefs. The shop continues the menu of Gibby's Seafood East, which operated at the same Pulaski Highway location.

Owner Craig Heuman started selling live crabs from his car more than 30 years ago and bought out his partner in 2020. Orders can be placed by phone or online for pickup, and daily specials are available when you call ahead. The shop is on Route 40 near Otsego Street in Havre de Grace, and it is a good stop for a family crab feast.
