THE PORTER

The Porter Public House is a craft beer and pub in historic downtown Hattiesburg, serving regional craft beer, straightforward cocktails and from-scratch pub fare with a Southern twist. The menu leans toward burgers, sandwiches, salads and knife-and-fork entrees, and the kitchen is known for dishes prepared fresh to order.

The pub is open daily with late hours on weekends, and the kitchen closes at 10 PM Monday through Saturday. Happy hour runs on weekdays from 3 to 6 PM, and late night specials run Wednesday through Saturday. Carryout orders can be placed online or by phone, and the pub hosts private parties, special events, live music and tabletop games. A $100 yearly Mug Club membership gives regulars a handcrafted mug and member discounts. The Porter sits across from the Post Office on West Pine Street.
