Snow Riders

Snow Riders is a snow tubing park on a hillside in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, about an hour from Washington, D.C. Its main slope spans nearly 900 feet, which the park describes as the longest tubing run on the East Coast, and riders return to the top on modern Magic Carpet lifts. The park makes its own snow, so tubing can run even when temperatures are above freezing.

Tickets are sold online in advance only and cover 1.5 hour sessions of unlimited riding, with a 50-person limit per 30-minute time slot. A kiddie tubing area serves younger children, and every rider signs a release form, with a parent or guardian signing for anyone under 18. Downhill Disco nights add LED lights that change to the music, and a light show runs in the park as well. A hot chocolate trailer and the Alstadts Ale House bar and grill serve guests between runs.
