Fitness and Recreational Sports

Fitness and Recreational Sports runs the fitness centers at Purdue University Northwest, with cardio machines, free weights, open gym time and group classes. A separate Cardio Hub near the racquetball court and an annex room next to the main workout floor add more cardio space.

Current students can use the fitness center at no charge. Faculty and staff can use the Hammond and Westville centers, and the Westville center is also open to community members. The Hammond center is on the 173rd Street campus, and some weekday hours are reserved for athletic teams, so check the schedule before going. Hours shift around breaks, so it's worth checking the current listing first.
