Next Chapter Cafe and Bookshop

Next Chapter Café and Bookshop combines a coffee bar with a curated selection of books in downtown Hagerstown. The café serves lattes, matcha, coffee and artisanal gelato, along with lunch and pizza, and the shop carries books for readers of all ages, from children's bedtime stories to history and ghost stories about the area.

The space is set up for lingering, with room to read in a quiet corner, meet friends over lunch, or work from a change of scenery. Melissa Noel runs the business, and the handmade bookshelves, tables and counters in the shop are built by Brian Noel and are also for sale. It is open daily from late morning into the early evening, with some later hours for events.
