Hartle's Subs

Hartle's Subs makes hot and cold subs to order, with rolls baked fresh each morning and meats sliced in front of the customer. The Philly Cheesesteak, the Italian cold cut stacked with capicola, salami and pepperoni, and the steak and cheese are the signature picks, and the menu also includes wraps, salads, homemade chili and funnel cake fries. Every sub can be customized with toppings, sauces and extras.

Orders can be placed online and paid in store, or called ahead to either location, with food usually ready in about 20 to 30 minutes. Guests can eat in the dining room or take out. There are two Hagerstown locations, one on South Potomac Street and one on Marshall Street, and the shop is locally owned. Hours run later on weekends than many lunch spots, and the shop stays open into the evening most days.
