About Rothman Animal Hospital

The story

Rothman Animal Hospital is a veterinary practice that has cared for animals since 1955, when Dr. Marvin Rothman opened it. It was the first veterinary hospital in the area to offer avian and exotic animal care, and it still treats birds, reptiles and other exotic pets alongside dogs and cats. Preventive care, dentistry, urgent care, hospitalization and surgery are among its core services.

The hospital is led by Dr. Mark Esser and five veterinarians in total, all graduates of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Appointments can be booked online or by phone, and urgent care is available for sick or injured pets. The practice also offers on-site grooming and boarding, and it is located at 420 Crescent Blvd in Collingswood, across from its original location on Route 130.
