Hickory Knoll Golf Course

Hickory Knoll Golf Course is a nine-hole course on hilly terrain in Lake Villa, open since 1947 and known as a relaxed place for golfers of all levels. The course is walkable, with small greens, wide fairways and no water hazards, and the site describes it as a good spot for beginners to practice or for serious players to sharpen their short game.

The course has been undergoing a redevelopment that adds new sand traps, a drainage system across four holes and redesigned greens. The clubhouse also has a bar and a gaming lounge with slot machines, and the course is at 24745 W Monaville Rd. in Lake Villa.
