Exercise and recovery meetings for addiction and life challenges391 Soundview Rd, Guilford, CT

Recovery Move is a nonprofit exercise and recovery meeting program that pairs supervised workouts with peer-style recovery meetings. It is aimed at teens and adults working through addiction, anxiety, grief, depression or other life challenges, and the workouts are tailored to each person's ability. The program was created by Coach Clint Zeidenberg, owner of Guilford Athletic Center, together with Dr. Hannah Jurewicz of Journey Home Recovery Living.
The program is free and open to teens and adults, with scholarships available based on need or potential. Guilford Athletic Center at 391 Soundview Road hosts the program, and visitors can stop by during business hours. Recovery Move also runs charity events such as the Average Joe Competition and a memorial workout, and it can help start the program at other gyms or community groups.
