Alpha Pet Dog Training

Alpha Pet Dog Training offers force-free, positive reinforcement dog training for obedience and behavior problems, working with dogs of all ages and breeds, including puppies. The behavior specialist works on issues such as separation anxiety, fear, biting, resource guarding, leash reactivity, housebreaking and jumping, and the business does not use shock collars, chokers or other punishment-based tools.

Training is mostly done in the dog's own home, with family members and caretakers involved, and private in-home sessions are priced by the hour. An all-day program, temperament evaluations and limited in-home pet sitting and dog transport are also offered. The business moved to the Central Coast in 2020 and serves San Luis Obispo County, including Pismo Beach, Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach and Paso Robles, with some appointments in parts of Santa Barbara County and farther afield by arrangement.
