Branford House

Branford House is a 19th-century mansion on the UConn Avery Point campus, modeled after the Newport estates. It is known as an event venue for weddings, galas and celebrations held throughout the year. Guests mingle on the stone veranda and patio, and dinner and dancing take place in the ballroom.

The lawn slopes toward the water and stretches toward the Avery Point Lighthouse, with ocean views from the patio. Events can also be held under a tent by the shore. Inside, the great room has a two-story marble fireplace, rococo ceilings and a hand-carved oak staircase. Event inquiries go to the house manager.
