Obedience classes for pet dogs and competition trainingGreene, PA
Admiral Perry Obedience Training Club is a nonprofit dog training club in Erie, Pennsylvania, organized in 1945 and incorporated as a nonprofit in 1965. It is described as the oldest dog training club of its kind in Northwestern Pennsylvania. Members train and show their dogs in AKC obedience trials and in events such as agility, rally, tracking and conformation, and the club runs obedience classes for puppies and adult dogs.
Classes are taught by club members who have earned obedience titles on their own dogs, with an emphasis on raising a well-behaved family pet. Several instructors also volunteer with Canine Companions for Independence. The club holds a monthly meeting on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Erie Kennel Club building on Wattsburg Road. Canine Good Citizen testing is also offered.
