The Small Building Company

The Small Building Company is a general contracting and carpentry firm that handles new construction, renovation and restoration. The firm works on everything from fine kitchens and interior finishes to libraries, music rooms and rustic barns, and it has also worked on the facade of the Tanglewood Music Shed. Its crew of licensed general contractor staff and eight professional carpenters draws on backgrounds that range from boat and furniture building to plaster, tile and tree house construction.

The company uses non-toxic construction and green building methods where affordable and possible, and it can research green practices to fit a range of budgets with client approval. Clients can follow project status through an online project interface. Arthur Jackson is listed as the contact. The office is at 15 Hollenbeck Ave in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, and the company works across the Berkshires, New York's Hudson Valley and northwestern Connecticut.
