Factory Surplus

Factory Surplus is a discount flooring warehouse that sells tile, wood and laminate, luxury vinyl plank, and unfinished cabinets on a cash-and-carry basis. Its buyers hunt factory closeouts, overstock, and B-grade product from manufacturers, and the store says most of its customers are do-it-yourselfers, flippers, and renovators.

The Grandview store at 14330 US-71 is the original location, opened in 2013, and there are also stores in North Kansas City and Spring Hill, Kansas. Product on the floor is generally ready to take home the same day, and staff can check stock across all three stores and move items to the closest one. The company does not run an install crew but can recommend local installers, and special financing is available on purchases.
