The Arc of Hanover

The Arc of Hanover Thrift Store is a secondhand shop run by The Arc of Hanover, a nonprofit that supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The store sells donated clothing, housewares, furniture and other used goods, and its profits support the organization's programs and operations. Many of the volunteers who sort, price, stage and staff the register are adults with disabilities who serve alongside community volunteers.

The store is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 AM to 5 PM. Donations are accepted only on Saturdays, from 10 AM to 4 PM at the warehouse door, and the store does not take large exercise equipment, large appliances, mattresses, pianos or undergarments. The Truck Team will pick up large furniture and other donations from the greater Hanover area by prior arrangement with the store manager. The store is at 10193 Washington Highway in Glen Allen.
