Gig Harbor BoatShop

Gig Harbor BoatShop is a nonprofit that keeps working waterfront skills alive through hands-on boatbuilding, boat restoration and boat use. It operates out of the historic Eddon Boatyard and offers community rowing and sailing programs, classes such as rope making and marine wiring, summer camps, and a seasonal boat livery using classic small boats restored by the shop.

The boatyard hosts a Family Boat Building Program where families or groups can build a skiff over a weekend, and visitors can drop in to rent a classic boat or see the work in progress. Membership and volunteering in the shops are open to the public. The shop's store is open Thursday through Sunday, and the boatyard sits on Harborview Drive on Gig Harbor's working waterfront.
