AMVETS, Dept. of CA Service Foundation

AMVETS, Dept. of CA Service Foundation is the fundraising arm of the AMVETS Department of California, a veterans service organization. Its accredited Veteran Service Officers help veterans and their families file claims for benefits with the VA, and money from donated goods sold at its thrift stores funds programs for veterans across the state.

Veterans and their families can get claims help from Veteran Service Officers based in VA hospitals and regional centers in California and Nevada. Membership is open to honorably discharged veterans from all eras, as well as current service members, the National Guard and Reserves. People with gently used items can schedule a donation pickup, and the headquarters is in Garden Grove.
