Kolb Electric

Kolb Electric is a family-owned electrical contractor that has served homes and businesses across Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC since 1925, when Walter Kolb founded it. Residential work includes circuit breaker and panel replacement, recessed and outdoor lighting, new home wiring, ceiling fans, EV chargers and electrical code corrections. Commercial jobs cover build-outs, parking lot lighting, light pole repair and standby generators.

The company runs 24-hour emergency service seven days a week, and it offers free estimates on installations. Its main office is in Lorton, Virginia, with a Gaithersburg location at 7914 Queenair Drive, and Kolb keeps bucket trucks for larger outdoor jobs. Its electricians are licensed and insured, and the company accepts all major credit cards.
