Lifesouth Community Blood Centers

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is a non-profit community blood bank that supplies blood components and related services to more than 200 hospitals and emergency service organizations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. The organization runs blood drives and a mobile blood unit, and it also offers cord blood banking, laboratory services, and a research institute that recruits donors for medical studies.

Donors can book appointments through the LifeSouth Blood Donor app or the donor portal, and first-time donors can book online. Diabetes A1c testing is included with each donation. The Gainesville center is at 4039 Newberry Road, and the organization also hosts community blood drives at schools, offices and apartment complexes.
