Gemstone Homes

Gemstone Homes is a custom home builder based in Fuquay-Varina that builds single homes and communities across the Triangle. The company, founded in 2017 by Ken Godwin and Chris Schiavone, emphasizes a structure-first approach, with a sealed building envelope, subflooring at twice the industry standard, and an encapsulated, climate-controlled crawl space included as standard.

Buyers can work from their own lot or choose a home in communities such as McLaurin Farms, Calvin's Mill, Beaumont Manor and Downtown Apex. Each home is assigned a dedicated project manager, and the owners stay involved in framing and finish standards. The office is at 206 Raleigh St in Fuquay-Varina, and getting started means scheduling a private consultation.
