Chara Christian Dance Academy

Chara Christian Dance Academy teaches dance classes, including ballet, and music lessons in guitar, piano, ukulele, drums, singing and voice. Private dance lessons are available, and the academy also runs summer day camps, special needs programs and a theatre program in Pearland.

The main studio is in Friendswood, with a second studio in Pearland. The academy follows a season calendar, and enrollment for Season 21 runs from August 2026 through May 2027. Studio space can also be rented, and birthday parties are hosted at the studios. Parking is available at the Friendswood studio, with overflow spots at Hope Lutheran Church. Founder Shanna Kirkpatrick writes a monthly blog for parents of dancers and musicians.
