Desk & Door Nameplate Co.

Desk & Door Nameplate Co. designs, manufactures and installs custom interior and exterior signs for businesses, including ADA-compliant and Braille signage, wayfinding systems, name plates, dimensional letters and logos, plaques and donor recognition walls. The company traces its start to 1954, when it began as a family-owned shop painting signs and windows, and its work has gone into museums, hospitals, hotels, universities and corporate offices. Most pieces are made by in-house craftsmen working in materials such as aluminum, acrylic, glass and bronze.

Projects can be handled from start to finish, including budgeting, ADA guidance, removal, relocation, permit acquisition and licensed installation. Repeat customers can reorder earlier signs through its FastTrack service, which aims to deliver within 14 calendar days of an approved layout, though very large orders don't fit that program. The company has shops in Frankfort, Illinois and St. Petersburg, Florida, and it works with clients across the country.
