B. W. Burdette & Son Hardware

B. W. Burdette & Son Hardware is an independently owned hardware store with roots going back to 1899, when B.W. Burdette opened a bicycle shop in Simpsonville. The store carries power tools, hardware and fasteners, paint, plumbing, lighting and electrical supplies, lawn and garden goods, outdoor living items, pet supplies, cleaning products and automotive supplies. Services include paint color matching, key cutting, propane refills and exchange, glass and Plexiglass cutting, blade and chain sharpening, and special orders for items not on the shelves.

The Fountain Inn store is on North Main Street downtown, and the owners, Connor and Dusti, bought the business in 2018 after the family ran it for decades. Local delivery is available in the Upstate for a fee based on mileage, and a UPS shipping center is on site. A second location on West Main Street in Gray Court was announced for fall 2025, and the Fountain Inn store also sells gift cards.
