the HEDGE

the HEDGE is a design studio run by artist and maker Julie Wall, who works in printmaking and metals to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Its work covers murals, interiors, custom visual merchandising, workshops, fine art, and creative consulting. Insects, the environment, pattern, texture, and women are recurring inspirations in the work. Corporate clients listed on the site include Vera Bradley, General Motors, Target, and Purdue University.

The studio hosts meetings, pop-ups, consultations, and special events in a small building on Columbia Ave, next to a garden called the Grove. Visits are by appointment, and the studio also opens for quarterly Solstice events. Because the team often works on job sites, it is best to schedule ahead. Bird's nest rentals are also offered.
