The Playroom

The Playroom is a 5,500 square foot STEAM play space for young children, offering drop-in play with ball pits, climbing structures, a magnetic maze and gear walls, a LEGO table, a race track, a giant train table, a puppet theater, ride-ons, and life-size foam blocks. It also runs classes such as StoryPlay for preschoolers, Pre-K, Princess Adventure, and sensory play, along with birthday parties.

The space is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and children explore at their own pace while an accompanying adult stays and plays with them. Families can drop in for the day for a nominal fee, and late registrations for classes are sometimes possible with a prorated fee. The Playroom is at 2205 Commerce Road in Forest Hill, Maryland.
