Hope & Wholesale

Hope & Wholesale is a discount grocery wholesaler that sells overstock, near-dated and close-out food at reduced prices. It was founded to help charities and nonprofits get reduced-cost and donated food and supplies, and it now also sells to families trying to stretch their grocery budgets. Clubs, lodges, church groups, schools and assisted living homes buy here for fundraisers and events.

The shop is in Forest Hill, and its inventory changes weekly, so it helps to call ahead for something specific. Staff can help work out quantities for an event while staying within a budget, and they will answer questions about food preparation. Items are sold as-is, so buyers should check them at the checkout counter, and bad items can be exchanged for one of equal value. Part of every purchase supports a nonprofit that helps people fighting addiction.
