Sauce Italian American Kitchen serves Italian-inspired food for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a restored historic bank building in downtown Flint. The menu blends traditional Italian recipes with local ingredients, including Michigan maple syrup and cheddar, and dishes such as Italian eggs Benedict, Belgian waffles, calamari fritti and arancini. Chef Robert Young leads the kitchen.

Breakfast runs weekdays from 7 AM to 11 AM, and lunch is served on weekdays until 1:30 PM, so weekends are better for dinner and brunch. Reservations can be made online, and the restaurant hosts private events, from intimate dinners to corporate outings. A rooftop lounge, Simmer, is open seasonally in spring and summer with views of downtown. The restaurant is at 352 South Saginaw Street.
