The Care Clinic

The CARE Clinic is a nonprofit free clinic that provides basic medical care, simple dental extractions, lab tests, pharmacy services and referrals to specialists for eligible low-income and uninsured adults. Care is run mostly by volunteer doctors, dentists, nurses and pharmacists, and it has operated since 1993.

To be seen, adults between 18 and 65 who live in Cumberland County or nearby counties in North Carolina must have no insurance, including Medicaid, meet an income requirement and show proof of household income and a valid NC photo ID. Clinics run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays for medical care, and on Tuesdays and the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays for dental. Appointments are given on a space-available basis. The clinic is not equipped for severe injuries, OB/GYN, chronic disease, mental health or wound care, and it does not pull wisdom teeth or offer cleanings. It is at 239 Robeson Street in Fayetteville.
