About River Kitty Cafe

The story

River Kitty Cafe is a cat cafe that combines coffee with cats available for adoption. The owners describe it as Peoria's first full-time cat cafe, where visitors can drink coffee and spend time with the resident cats.

The cats living at the cafe are available for adoption through the partner shelter, Peoria County Animal Protection Services. All of them are current on vaccines, spayed or neutered, and microchipped. The cafe also takes reservations and accepts donations, and it is a good fit for anyone who cannot keep a cat at home but wants time with one.
