A Cutting Edge Gallery of Jewelry is known for its loose diamonds, colored gemstones and engagement settings. The store keeps about 2,500 live engagement mountings on hand to pair with hundreds of loose diamonds and thousands of loose colored gemstones. Many of the gemstones are cut by the store's own team, a tradition that grew out of owner Jeff's decades in the gemstone business before he opened the retail shop in 2002.

Most pieces are one-of-a-kind and designed in-house, from a CAD rendering through casting and stone setting, with the customer involved at each step. The bench also handles sizing, prong and shank repairs, rhodium plating, restoration and appraisals. Tuesday and Thursday hours run later in the evening, Saturday hours change with the season, and the shop is closed Sundays. You'll find it on 33rd Avenue South in south Fargo.
