Unique Photo

Unique Photo is a family-owned camera store in Fairfield that has been in business since 1947. It sells new and used cameras, lenses, lighting, film and accessories, and it is known for its rental counter, photo lab and classes. Customers can buy, rent, trade in or print photos at the same location.

Rentals of cameras, lenses and video gear are priced by the day or week, with pickup in the store or shipping across the country. Used gear is described as tested and guaranteed. The Fairfield store has a lab counter for film processing, custom framing, scanning and photo restoration, and it hosts a regular schedule of photography classes and demo days. The business also runs a second store in Philadelphia, and the Sweetwood family has run the company for three generations.
