Provident Title & Escrow

Provident Title & Escrow handles real estate settlements, title insurance and escrow for home buyers, sellers and refinancing borrowers, and also manages 1031 exchanges. The company was founded in 2001 by John and Cathy Richter, who remain its sole owners and work in the office every day. Its Provident School of Real Estate also offers post-licensing and continuing education courses for Virginia agents, approved by DPOR for license renewal.

Settlements are scheduled through the Burke or Springfield office, and the team walks clients through each document before signing. Fees are quoted up front and are not meant to change. Signed copies are provided right after closing, and they can be put on a disc to cut down on paper. The company has also adopted the ALTA Best Practices for title insurance and settlement, and it offers a personal guarantee that a settlement fee will be refunded if a client is not satisfied with the service.
