Smith Family Dental

Smith Family Dental is a family dental practice on Cal Young Road in Eugene that has provided care to Eugene and Springfield since 1953. Three generations of Smiths have worked in the practice, starting with Dr. Oscar Edward Smith, who began as one of the first pediatric dentists in Eugene, followed by Dr. Steve Smith and now Dr. Stevenson Smith. Services cover preventive exams and cleanings, digital x-rays, children's dentistry, root canal therapy, restorative work, cosmetic dentistry and emergency care.

The office is open Monday through Thursday, and it is closed on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The practice is accepting new patients and usually has openings within one to two weeks of calling. Plan for one to one and a half hours for a first visit, which includes x-rays and a comprehensive exam but not a cleaning. Dr. Stevenson Smith accepts most insurance plans, including Delta Dental of Oregon as a PPO and Premier provider, and out-of-network patients can still be seen. Dental emergencies are handled by phone during office hours, and after hours patients can leave a message for Dr. Stevenson.
