McKenzie River Brewing

McKenzie River Brewing makes small-batch craft beer in Eugene, using water from the McKenzie River as its main ingredient. The lineup includes Hopasaurus Rex, a double IPA at 9.5% ABV, along with Raging Rhino red ale, Twisted Meniscus IPA and a hazy IPA brewed with wheat and oats. The brewery has collected awards at competitions including the World Beer Cup and several Canadian and Northwest contests. The tasting room in the 5th Street Marketplace pours a sampling of the core beers with snacks, followed by a brewery tour led by brewmaster Mike. Groups of up to 15 can request tours and private events through an online inquiry form. Tasting room hours are Friday and Saturday afternoons, and all ages are welcome at all times. Since 2024 the brewery has been part of Urban Restaurant Group, a locally owned company run by a husband and wife team.
