Blachly-Lane Electric Cooperative

Blachly-Lane Electric Cooperative is a member-owned electric utility serving rural customers around North Eugene. It was formed in 1937 as the first REA-financed cooperative to operate in Oregon, and its stated mission is to provide safe, reliable, cost-based electricity to its members. The co-op runs programs for energy efficiency rebates, a member loan program, weatherization, and generator safety.

Outage reports are taken around the clock by phone or through the SmartHub app. Regular office hours are Monday through Thursday, and the main office is on Highway 99 in North Eugene. Members can pay bills, start or stop service, and manage accounts online. The co-op also holds an annual meeting for its members and has a board of directors elected by district.
