Out of Step Tattoo & Gallery is a custom tattoo studio that also sells lowbrow and underground original paintings, illustrations, sculptures, books, and prints. The shop works with a group of tattoo artists and keeps a gallery of art on the walls for browsing.

Tattoo consultations are arranged by phone or through the website, and the shop also takes walk-in visits during its regular hours. Gift certificates and shirts are sold on the site. The Willamette Street location sits next to the historic McDonald Theatre, and the shop has a second location near the University of Oregon campus at High Street and 13th.
