The Mill

The Mill is a breakfast, lunch and prepared foods store in Essex, Massachusetts, serving homemade food to go. Its breakfast sandwiches, a Breakfast Banh Mi, and a lunch menu of Italian, Cuban and chicken salad sandwiches and wraps are paired with espresso drinks, cold brew and a rotating case of prepared salads, soups and dinners such as meatballs and mac and cheese.

The store is open Tuesday through Saturday with shorter hours on Sunday, and it is closed on Mondays. Orders can be placed in person or by calling ahead, and gluten-free wraps and several gluten-free and dairy-free dishes are available. The Mill is run by Josh and Caitlin Silverstein, who opened the store in February 2020 on the site of a former cider mill.
