The Cove

The Cove is a bayside restaurant and tavern with nautically inspired decor, known for seafood, burgers and wraps. The menu covers starters like pretzels and calamari, salads with grilled or blackened proteins, smash burgers made with a house blend of chuck, short rib and brisket, and sandwiches such as a Cajun walleye handheld. Lobster shows up in nachos, a New England roll and mac and cheese, and the Buoy Bar on the patio is a 40 by 50 foot tiki hut with live music.

The Cove serves lunch and dinner with indoor seating and outdoor seating right on Presque Isle Bay. Friday and Saturday nights bring a live DJ and dancing, and the kitchen stays open until 10 PM on those nights. Parties of eight or more have an 18 percent gratuity added, and credit card payments carry a surcharge. The restaurant is at 2 State St. on Erie's Bayfront, and Bayfront Parkway traffic has been disrupted by construction, so allow extra travel time.
