Emilio’s Tapas Bar

Emilio's Tapas Bar is a Spanish tapas restaurant in Hillside that has been open since 1988. Its menu centers on small plates such as tortilla a la española, gambas a la plancha and patatas con alioli, along with paellas like paella valenciana and paella mariscos. The original Hillside restaurant was founded by Emilio Gervilla, who grew up in Granada and brought his own recipes to Chicago.

Reservations can be booked online, and walk-in guests are welcome at the dining room, patio and bar. Private and semi-private rooms suit birthdays, rehearsal dinners and corporate events, and the kitchen also caters parties at other locations. Flamenco demonstrations, live Spanish music and wine classes are hosted regularly. Happy hour runs Wednesday through Saturday afternoons, and orders can be placed online for pickup or through DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub. The restaurant is on Roosevelt Road.
