Highlands Of Elgin

The Highlands of Elgin is a public golf course built partly on an old stone quarry, with nine newer holes that include a twelve acre quarry lake and four holes along a bluff 30 to 40 feet above the water. The original nine holes run over rolling terrain. The course also has a lighted practice facility with 20 hitting stations, a short game area and a large putting green, plus a golf simulator.

The prairie style clubhouse has an expanded golf shop, locker rooms, event rooms and a full food and beverage operation, including the Grumpy Goat Tavern. Tee times can be booked online, and 18-hole reservations open at 1 PM on days when the course is aerating greens, while 9-hole times are reserved by calling the pro shop. Golf lessons, outings and gift cards are also available. The course is at 875 Sports Way in Elgin.
