Russell-Murray Hospice

Russell-Murray Hospice is a nonprofit hospice that provides end-of-life care for patients with life-limiting illnesses, with an emphasis on comfort, dignity and personal choice. Founded in 1988 by two registered nurses, it is licensed by the State of Oklahoma and certified by Medicare, and it is named for the founder's fathers, who both had terminal illnesses.

Anyone can refer a patient by calling one of the four offices in El Reno, Kingfisher, Weatherford or Oklahoma City, and the clinical staff coordinate with the patient's physician on eligibility. Patients are generally expected to have a life expectancy of six months or less. Care is never billed to patients or families, and the hospice covers the cost for those without funding. The program serves a 75-mile radius of El Reno.
