Samaritan Health Clinic

Samaritan Health Clinic of Pickens County is a nonprofit that provides free medical and dental care to eligible, medically underserved residents of Pickens County who lack health insurance and have limited income. Services include medical exams, prescription medications through an on-site pharmacy, diagnostic testing, referrals to specialists and dentists, GYN services, and free dental exams with tooth extractions.

The clinic is supported by local churches, area hospitals, grants and donations, and many volunteer physicians, dentists, nurses and specialists. Appointments are made by phone at 864-855-0853. The pharmacy provides life-sustaining medications but does not stock controlled substances. A GYN clinic runs on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, offering pap smears, breast exams and mammograms to women.
