1 Journey Counseling & Consulting Services is a counseling practice owned by Samara Bowser, a licensed clinical social worker in North Carolina and Virginia. Her work covers trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions and self-esteem, with children, teens and adults. She uses trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR, and offers play therapy for younger clients.

Telehealth sessions are offered alongside individual work, and the practice also provides couples, family and group therapy as well as clinical supervision. A free 15-minute consultation is available before you commit to working together. The office is in Durham, and Bowser has been doing clinical work since 2006, starting in community, outpatient and school settings.
