YMCA of Greater Spartanburg

The YMCA of Greater Spartanburg is a nonprofit family YMCA with several branches, offering afterschool care, swim lessons, youth sports, group exercise and summer camp. The organization describes itself as a community pillar for more than 150 years, with programs aimed at spirit, mind and body for people of all backgrounds.

The Y runs the Thomas E. Hannah, Middle Tyger and Willis Road family YMCAs, and its Spartaquatics swim team and RISE program serve adults 21 and older with learning differences or physical limitations. LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a free program for adult cancer survivors. Financial aid is available for swim lessons, and programs are open to members and returning campers by registration.
