Matheny Therapy & Consulting

Matheny Therapy & Consulting offers trauma-informed individual and family therapy, along with court-involved work such as custody and parenting time evaluations, parenting education and training for professionals. Saprina, the licensed clinical social worker who founded the practice, focuses on child and adolescent trauma and previously led clinical programs at the University of Minnesota's Ambit Network and Human Development Center in Duluth.

The practice is open to people dealing with serious mental health concerns and also to those facing everyday stress or life changes, such as a new job, a move, or retirement. It works with clients who have complex trauma histories, complicated family dynamics, or involvement with social services or family court. Telehealth and crisis intervention are available. The office is on East Superior Street in Duluth.
