Northern Shores Coffee is the coffee shop in the Kirby Plaza food court on the University of Minnesota Duluth campus, run by UMD Dining Services. It serves locally roasted, sustainably sourced coffee in a log-cabin setting just steps from the shores of Lake Superior.

The shop is on the first floor of Kirby Plaza, and in spring and fall there is an outdoor seating area. Groups and departments can order to-go coffee carafes for $30 each, which hold 160 fl oz and serve about 10 people, with cups, lids, stir sticks, creamer and sugar included. Carafes are paid for at pickup by EFS or credit card at the cashier stand, and you can stop by or contact the shop ahead to set a pickup time. Full coffee service for events is handled by Fresh Leaf Catering.
