Benchmark Tattoo

Benchmark Tattoo is a tattoo studio that works in all tattoo styles and also sells original art. Its Duluth studio is at 1831 East 8th Street, and the business also has a shop in Bayfield, Wisconsin, which lost its building to a structural fire in January 2025 and is now working out of a temporary space nearby.

Appointments are booked with individual artists, and some artists have waits of one to six weeks. Several artists take walk-ins every day, so calling the studio is the quickest way to ask about one. Email requests are answered within 24 to 48 hours. Gift cards are available, and the Duluth studio keeps long hours, open from 10 in the morning until 8 at night most days of the week.
