Brave Embers Wellness is a private counseling practice led by licensed professional counselor Lauren Mehr, focused on trauma-focused, embodied therapy. Its main work is complex trauma and PTSD, eating disorders and disordered eating, body image concerns, and recovery from sexual abuse, for adults 21 and older. Sessions draw on somatic therapy, EMDR and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, with some clients also doing group work.
New clients start with a free initial telehealth consultation, which is a short, low-pressure conversation about fit and fees. In-person sessions take place at the Doylestown office in Bucks County, and telehealth is available to adults in Pennsylvania and Arizona. The office is in a stone building off New Britain Road, with free parking at the door.
