Fly fishing, hiking, camping and ski gear with boot fitting264 Central Ave, Dover, NH
Fire on the Mountain is an outdoor outfitter on Central Avenue in Dover that has been in business since 1989. The shop stocks fly fishing rods, reels, waders and flies, along with hiking footwear, backpacks, trekking poles, tents, sleeping bags and camp gear. Its winter lineup covers ski boots, bindings, skis, snowboards and cold-weather clothing, and it regularly runs sales on past-season ski boots.
Boot fitting and fitted insoles are a main draw for skiers and hikers who want a better fit. The shop also runs a Boot Club and takes boot fitting appointments through its website. Hours are longest on weekdays, with shorter weekend hours, so it is worth checking the schedule before you stop by.
